Shoutout time for me!

Justin: I had fun helping you decide on bits and pieces of the ITG tournament and helping run things in Pump here and there. Thank you so much for having me stay at your place. Your tournaments have always been my favorite ever since my first tourny at EOCP... the original :] Good job on the tournament quad and just everything in general. I will always go to any EOCP tourny in the future for as long as I am able to.

Nick Danty:
You were probably one of the coolest people I have ever met. Just so chill, so down to earth, and so not a dancing game player stereotype, haha. I really look forward to seeing you at a tournament in the near future (EOCP4 perhaps?) and all of the potential chill time that'll come along with it.

Tiffany: What I said about Nick goes for you, too. You are quite possibly one of the coolest people I have met at a tournament, and I look forward to lots and lots of chill time with you as well. Enter next time, lol! Also, sorry for all of the boob-elbowing :( Hope you feel better, lol.

Andyfreak: Congrats on winning the GH tournament. It was also quite and honor getting to wear your signature hat, lol. Hopefully I'll AAA something while wearing it sometime. I'll try to make it up to VA for a weekend or so and chill with you and NicX for a bit. You guys rock my fucking socks off.

NicX: MELLOW. That aside, you're fucking amazing. It was a pleasure to be able to hang with you and get to hear your incredible sense of humor and ability to just get along with everyone and make everyone laugh. Expect many random phone calls in the future regarding AIJ bullshit or just a simple hello here or there. Can't wait to see you again sometime in the future :]

Flash aka Brett: Congrats on winning the Pump tournament. You are so good at that game, but you really need to learn how to hit Superbs a bit better. I can't recall a single time that I saw you hit ONE Superb. What the fuck is wrong with you? Learn to play dancing games better. In fact, just quit. Loser.

All kidding aside, congratulations on winning ITG Expert. Two quads back to back like that was just insane, and our match on Jordan was amazing. It was an honor being the only person left in the winners bracket of an ITG tournament with you, and I hope my luck runs that well in the future ITG tournaments that we both attend. I'll try to get better next time, but how I don't know, lol.

JOKR: It was great actually getting to chat and hang out with you and your boyfriend for the majority of the tournament. You are incredibly chill and OH MY GOD Pan American and the drunk guy, lol. Thanks for getting that on video. Hope you and your boyfriend had a safe flight home. Maybe next time we'll get a match in some Pump tournament together, lol.

Dan, Tommy, and Nevets: SO chill, all three of you. I really enjoyed the matches that we had Tommy and Steven, and I really enjoyed talking to you a lot, Dan. You guys are really fucking awesome. You have to get me back for that match that I got you at Steven, lol. I'll see what I can do about a BZN trip or something to play some Pro in the future somewhere.

butts47: I knew you were real ever since I laid eyes on the first screenshot of yours, and low and behold I was correct. You WASTED me on that match that we had together, but I only made it that far due to luck, and I knew that that well would dry out soon enough, and it did. Congrats on kicking my ass, lol. Chill time with you was great. I love your sense of humor and clever wit, and I can't wait to chill some more with you at future tournaments. I LIKE BUTTER!

Jboy and Ruzy: As always, it was great seeing you two again. I really really want to hang out with you guys for a weekend sometime in a month or so. I hear Pro sounds great and I would really like to try it out. GOOD LUCK AT WPF JBOY.

Irish: You know, we NEVER talk, but when we do it's always so interesting and so good. You need to go to more tournaments and actually stay at them, lol. More chill time is a must with you in the future. Hope things go well with you.

Willmington Crew: Thank you guys so much for coming and making the Pump division actually exist, lol. Mike is so awesome, Jeremy is good at Pump, Skylar is... Skylar, it was great meeting and playing against Lori, and Kitty and Ben were pretty sweet, too. Hopefully next time you guys won't have to leave so early tongue.gif

Kyle (boxy): You're so awesome. I really enjoyed talking to you, hanging out with you, and just actually having the pleasure to be your friend. You really are a great guy and I hope that things go well for you in the future. I can't wait to see you again sometime at a future tournament or two.

DF2K: As always it was great seeing you again, man. I'm glad things are going so well for you, and I'm especially happy for you and Eli (sp?). Next time you visit her be sure to pick me up on the way and we could chill and Smash it up.

You all are amazing.

EOCP in three hours and I still haven't slept.  I'll get on that right after I finish this.

I got my hair dyed again, this time more pink than anything.  It supposedly glows underneath a black light, but we'll see.  Looks good regardless :]

I'm in a better mood.  Thanks for everyone's concern, it may have just been a phase.  Maybe I over thought it - I tend to do that a LOT.

So excited.  Okay sleep.

The gig on the 8th of December has been canceled and will be rescheduled for some date in January.

This is due to me not having an amp I could use, a busy schedule for our drummer around that time, and no good bass player.  This is good though, because apparently I'm getting a guitar and amp from my Grandmother for Christmas.

Yay!

I woke up at 1pm today to try to go to Music & Arts center to see if I can't get an amp for the gig before going into work at 4pm, but I rolled over to get me just five more minutes of sleep, and the next thing I know my co-worker is calling me at 4:15pm wondering where the fuck I am :[

I didn't get in trouble, but man that sucked :/

I guess I never mentioned on here the date of said gig.  It's exactly two weeks from now (December 8th) at Ron's Hog Pen at 7pm.  There's only two problems:  I don't have an amp and I don't have a bass player.

The bass player shouldn't be too difficult to take care of.  I know a few bass players that can fit the bill, and if they aren't available then I'll just see if one of my guitar friends can play bass.  The only trouble that's going to come out of that is trying to teach them the songs before the gig x_X.

The amp... is going to be very very difficult to get by gig time.  I don't want to play through anything that's not a tube amp - no exceptions.  I'm very picky about my tone, and if I don't have a good tone then I don't play at all.

It's because of those two problems that I don't want anyone who is interested in coming to this to make any plans of doing so just yet.  I'll let you know when it's confirmed and then you guys can go ahead.

Sleep is good.

I'm falling back in love with it.

I've been playing guitar a lot more recently.  Not just dicking around but actually trying to learn new things and work on complicated chord changes and soloing across them.  I've been listening to a lot of Frank Zappa, Chic Corea, Steely Dan, and Jaco Pastorius lately.  GOD would I kill for a nice amp, pedal, and guitar right now.  I'm downloading the Real and Fake Books at the moment to sort of broaden my song knowledge and learn new chords as I go along.

I added a new song to my MySpace profile.  It's a song called Teen Town played live by Jaco Pastorius with Weather Report.  It's so fucking good.  I would love to be able to play music like that someday.  Link below if you care to listen:

Most of you won't understand it and may not enjoy it, but that's fine.  Jazz/Fusion isn't for everyone.

I remember Lara making a reply to an LJ post I posted over a year ago when I was feeling down for some reason but grateful about the multitudes of friends that I have.  Here's the entry:

http://sixsilverstring.livejournal.com/10461.html

3. Every once and a while I get overwhelmed by how grateful I am to have so many amazing friends too.

That's exactly how I feel right now.  Despite all of the personal and emotional suffering I'm going through currently I am still constantly reminded that I have so many friends.  Just the other day I was telling someone that I could go to almost every state or region in the country and know at least one person that lives there.

We're all growing up, though.  We're all going to school and moving on with our lives now.  In about 5 or so years each and every one of us will either be grown up, somewhere else, or maybe even just same old same old, but we will all remember the amazing times that we've had by being part of this amazing community, and we will all able to share our experiences with those that we will be with later in life, and even further down the road - our children.  Certainly I'm not the only one who thinks about these things?

It's all just so cool and I love it.

For the longest time now all I've wanted to do was feel. I just wanted to feel something for someone. Anything as long as I could actually feel again.

No surprise that when I come around to doing it I feel anger and hurt more than anything.  Go figure.

I hate everything again.
